JobSummary: We are seeking an experienced PerlDeveloper to join our dynamic team at a leading Healthcare SaaScompany. Our entire ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes and corebusiness logic are rooted in Perl making this role crucial for themaintenance and development of our systems. The ideal candidatewill have a strong background in Perl programming with a keenunderstanding of how to manage and manipulate large data sets in ahealthcare environment.KeyResponsibilities:
  1. Developand Maintain PerlApplications:
  • Designdevelop and maintain Perl applications integral to our ETLprocesses and business logic.
  • Ensure theperformance quality and responsiveness ofapplications.
  1. DataManagement:
  • Handlelarge datasets implementing processes for data extractiontransformation and loading.
  • Work closely withthe data team to ensure data integrity and efficiency of dataprocessing.
  1. SystemOptimization:
  • Continuouslyidentify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to theseproblems.
  • Optimize the performance of backendsystems for speed andefficiency.
  1. CollaborationandCommunication:
  • Collaboratewith crossfunctional teams to define design and ship newfeatures.
  • Effectively communicate technicalconcepts to nontechnicalstaff.
  1. Complianceand BestPractices:
  • Ensurethe application adheres to healthcare industry standards andregulatory compliance particularly in data handling andsecurity.
  • Maintain code quality organizationandautomation.
  1. TechnicalSupport andDocumentation:
  • Providetechnical support including root cause analysis and remediation ofproduction issues.
  • Create and maintaincomprehensive documentation for systemsoftware.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science Information Technology or relatedfield.
  • Strong knowledge andworking experience in cloud infrastructure like AWS Azure orGCP
  • Provensoftware development experience inPerl.
  • Strongunderstanding of Perl programming and itsnuances.
  • StrongKnowledge of relational databases andSQL.
  • Familiarity with frontendtechnologies (such as JavaScript HTML5 and CSS3) is aplus.
  • Experience in healthcare IT andunderstanding of healthcare data standards (such as HL7 FHIR)preferred.
  • Solid understanding ofobjectoriented programming.
  • Familiarity withversion control tools like Git.
  • Stronganalytical and problemsolving
