JD - Project Appraisal Cell – Credit Analyst About Commercial Banking Coverage Group The Commercial Banking Group is responsible for delivering One Axis to clients with a turnover between Rs 10 Crs. to Rs 350 Crs. by offering both credit and liability products & solutions around forex, trade, payments, cash management and tax payments along with retail products like salary, trust services, forex, commercial card, credit cards etc About the Role Considering the risk and complexities of a project loan compared to a non-project TL/WC exposure, a separate project appraisal cell has been set up to appraise and monitor large value projects. Project Appraisal Cell comprises of representatives from Coverage and underwriting teams. Any proposal with a Project Cost of Rs. 50 crores & above and where Axis Bank’s participation in TL exposure is Rs. 10 crores and above will be appraised by the project appraisal cell. Credit Analyst of PAC will ensure vetting of credit notes prepared by MEG Centres with respect to CMA, policy compliance, financials statement assumptions etc. Credit Analyst will verify the monitoring reports to ensure accuracy of data /details before placing the notes to the committee. CA will contribute to healthy growth of project loan portfolio by ensuring TAT and health of the portfolio. CA will be regularly monitor the portfolio by reviewing LIE reports, cash flows, on site visits etc. This position will be reporting to Coverage Head of Project Appraisal Cell. Key Responsibilities Ensuring compliance to internal and regulatory policies while appraising project loans. Ensuring quantity of appraisal note and TAT Completing timely review of the project loans to ensure adherence to project implementation schedule. DCCO monitoring, cash flow monitoring and suggesting corrective actions, if required. Tracking adherence to sanction covenant. Qualifications Optimal qualification for success on the job is: Postgraduate in Business Management, commerce, CA etc. Experience: min three years in corporate lending handling large exposures. Role Proficiencies: For successful execution of the job, a candidate should possess the following: Knowledge In-depth knowledge of internal and regulatory policies with respect to project funding. Understanding of financial statements analysis and credit rating. Understanding of revenue assumption and CMA preparation. Pre sanction and post sanction monitoring of projects. Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. Should be able to effectively liaising with customers, credit, WBO and products teams. Abilities Ability to work effectively across functions such as WBP, WBO and branch banking. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members. Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work as a part of team and contribute towards team goals.
