Overview:TheTransmitter Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the properfunctioning of transmitter equipment used in broadcastingtelecommunications and other communication networks. They areresponsible for the installation maintenance and repair oftransmitter systems ensuring seamless transmission ofsignals.
KeyResponsibilities:

• Install andconfigure transmitter equipment according tospecifications
• Perform routine inspections andpreventive maintenance on transmittersystems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipmentmalfunctions and signal interruptions
• Ensurecompliance with safety and regulatory standards in all transmitteroperations
• Collaborate with engineering andoperations teams to optimize transmitterperformance
• Conduct tests to identify andresolve issues with RF systems
• Documentmaintenance and repair activities including equipment logs andreports
• Provide technical support duringtransmitter system upgrades andexpansions
• Operate test equipment and tools fortransmitter diagnostics and measurements
• Trainand mentor junior technicians on transmitter operations andmaintenance
• Maintain inventory of spare partsand equipment for emergency repairs
• Respond toemergency calls and perform onsite repairs asneeded
• Stay updated on industry trends andtechnological advancements in transmittersystems
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliersfor equipment procurement andmaintenance
• Ensure the cleanliness andorganization of transmitter sites and workareas

RequiredQualifications:Diploma in ElectronicsEngineering 57 years experience in O & M of AM Transmitterspast experience in the climbing the medium wave antennas upto 100meters and able to troubleshoot the wiring and replacement of bulbsand holders on the top ofantenna.
