JobSummary:

The Credit ManagerUnsecured Loans is responsible for evaluating and approving creditapplications managing credit risk and ensuring compliance withcompany policies and regulatory standards. The role demands stronganalytical abilities decisionmaking skills and a thoroughunderstanding of unsecured lending products.

KeyResponsibilities:Credit Evaluation andUnderwriting:
  1. Assesscreditworthiness of applicants by analyzing financial statementscredit history and repayment capacity.
  2. Evaluate unsecured loan applications such as personalloans business loans or other noncollateralized lendingproducts.
  3. Make sound decisions on loanapprovals within assigned authority limits or escalate applicationsfor higher approvals as necessary.
  4. Ensureunderwriting practices are aligned with internal policies andregulatory requirements.
Risk Management:
  1. Monitor portfolio performance and identifyearly warning signals to mitigate potential risks.
  2. Collaborate with collections teams to address delinquentaccounts and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  3. Periodically review credit policies and recommendadjustments to balance risk and business growthobjectives.
StakeholderCollaboration:
  1. Workclosely with sales and operations teams to ensure smooth processingand alignment of goals.
  2. Provide training andguidance to junior staff or credit analysts to ensure consistentevaluation standards.
Compliance andReporting:
  1. Maintainaccurate and complete records of credit decisions and ensurecompliance with all relevant regulations.
  2. Prepare and present reports on portfolio performancedelinquency trends and other metrics to seniormanagement.
KeyQualifications:
  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Finance Accounting Business or arelated field. MBA or professional certification (e.g. CA CFA) is aplus.
  • Experience:
    • 3 years of experience in credit evaluationpreferably in unsecured lending.
    • Familiaritywith fintechbased lending platforms or digital credit models is anadvantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
    • Excellent understanding of credit risk principles andlending regulations.
    • Proficient in financialanalysis tools and credit scoring models.
    • Effective communication and interpersonalskills.
