Job Overview
Spandana Hospital is seeking a Certified Endoscopy Technician to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of endoscopy equipment, assisting during endoscopy procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position requires prior experience in a healthcare setting and a strong understanding of endoscopy procedures, infection control, and patient care. The location for this role is in Bangalore.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience with endoscopy equipment operation to ensure procedures are conducted efficiently and safely.
- Strong patient care skills to provide comfort and support to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- A solid understanding of medical terminology related to endoscopy and other medical procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of infection control practices to prevent contamination and ensure a sterile environment.
- Expertise in sterilization techniques to maintain and prepare instruments and equipment for endoscopy.
- Accurate documentation skills for recording patient information, procedure details, and equipment usage.
- Excellent teamwork to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff during procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precision in every aspect of the role, from equipment setup to procedure assistance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by handling equipment and providing patient support.
- Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and functioning properly.
- Implement infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment throughout the procedure.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of procedures, patient information, and equipment usage.
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.
- Work closely with the medical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedural workflow.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any irregularities to the attending physician or nurse.
- Maintain inventory of endoscopy supplies and ensure timely reordering to avoid shortages.
