Position: Stress Analysis Engineer (VG) Location: Fort Worth TX 76118 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: Onsite Shift Timings Shift1st shift 9x80 Job Description: Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with ColliersHyperX/Hypersizer stress analysis tool is preferred
  • Experience working withSLIM/Vision is preferred
  • Experience with Hyperworks/Hypermesh is preferred
  • Experience withCATIA V5/V6/3DX is preferred.
  • Must have working experience and knowledge/backgroundwith COMPOSITES.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T requirements preferred.
  • Proficiency withanalytical tools or codes such as Mathcad MATLAB Python ExcelVisual Basic etc. to execute custom inhouse macros or resultsprocessing techniques preferred.
  • Experience working with product lifecyclemanagement (PLM) software such as ENOVIA to drive productlifecycle.
  • Previousexperience working on cross functional engineering programs.
Position Requirements:
  • Multiplelevels of experience will be considered with at least 2 years ofairframe stress analysis.
  • Must have experience with NASTRAN (and visible on theresume)
  • In additionexperience with at least one analysis pre/postprocessor is requiredincluding but not limited to: PATRAN HyperWorks Femap.
  • Detailed finite element analysis(FEA) experience focused on metallic laminated composite castingsforgings additive elastomeric or other precision components.
  • Experience usingcomputer aided design or drafting (CAD) tools interrogating modelsfor design best practices and general readiness pre and postanalysis iteration.
  • Proficiency with engineering design definition including2D/3D modeling requirement capture and specification development.
  • Product developmentexperience with components or systems consisting of but not limitedto structural castings precision forgings laminated sheet tube orthick composites.
  • Proficiency with basic office computer softwarespecifically the Microsoft office suite (Word Excel PowerpointOutlook etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment andability to articulate technical data and concepts to a wideaudience of individuals of different technical backgrounds.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Satisfy static strength stiffness stabilitymargin fatigue life damage tolerance durability thermal performanceload distribution failure modes and effects and other requirements.
  • Create detailedFinite Element Models (FEM) of components and assemblies usingappropriate modeling practices.
  • Resolve various complex structures and loadingenvironments by applying free body diagrams various classicalanalysis techniques and other idealized models.
  • Support manufacturing and testingof components and subsystems interpreting technical data andassisting in product improvements.
  • Review detail assembly and installationdesign definition to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Participate in across functional team environment completing a variety ofobjectives depending on the program lifecycle assigned.
  • Must be able toexecute tasks to program schedule and cost requirements.
  • Advance thestateoftheart through creative thought personal and team researchtechnical compliance and strong analysis skills.
  • Travel to various suppliers maybe expected depending on the assignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize andprioritize a variety of activities and tasks while dealing withchange.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Major in Mechanicalor Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
  • Masters Degree in Engineering as describedabove is preferred.
