JobSummary: We are seeking an experienced ProductionEngineer with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication tojoin our team. The Production Engineer will be responsible foroptimizing production processes enhancing productivity improvingquality and ensuring timely project delivery. This role requiresproficiency in engineering drawing interpretation computer skillsand leadership in managing a team of 2035personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpretengineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurateproduction setup and partverification.
  • Utilize computeraideddesign (CAD) software for process optimization tooling design andproductionplanning.
  • Lead a team of 2035production personnel providing guidance training and performancemanagement.
  • Drive key resultareas (KRAs) focused on productivity enhancement overall equipmenteffectiveness (OEE) improvement cost savings initiatives andqualityproduction.
  • Implement Kaizenmethodologies to foster continuous improvement and innovation inmanufacturingprocesses.
  • Monitor and optimizeproduction schedules to ensure ontime delivery of projects andgoods.
  • Conduct time studiesto analyze workflow efficiency and identify areas forimprovement.
  • Focus on maintaininghigh standards of quality and adherence to customerspecifications.
  • Prepare and presentdaily weekly and monthly reports to the Head of Department (HOD) onproduction metrics worker efficiency and management informationsystems (MIS).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’sdegree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineeringor related field.
  • Proven experience of25 years in sheet metal fabrication with a deep understanding ofproduction processes andequipment.
  • Strong proficiency inreading and understanding engineering drawings and technicalspecifications.
  • Advanced computerskills including proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorksAutoCAD) and ERP systems for productionplanning.
  • Demonstrated abilityto lead and manage a team of production personnel drivingperformance and fosteringteamwork.
  • Experience inconducting time studies implementing productivity improvementprojects and achieving cost savingstargets.
  • Resultsorientedmindset with a focus on achieving ontime delivery and qualityproduction.
  • Excellentmultitasking abilities and strong analyticalskills.
  • Effectivecommunication skills with the ability to report and present data toseniormanagement.
