PositionSummary:

Weare seeking a highly skilled and experienced Numerical RelayTesting Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possessa strong understanding of numerical relay protection systems andhave a proven track record in testing and commissioning thesedevices. This role will involve working closely with project teamsclients and vendors to ensure the successful implementation ofnumerical relay protectionschemes.

RequirementsKeyResponsibilities:

Testingand Commissioning:
Conductcomprehensive testing of numerical relays including functionalperformance and acceptancetests.
Configure and calibratenumerical relays according to project specifications and industrystandards.
Commission numericalrelay protection schemes into substationenvironments.
Verify the correctoperation of numerical relays in conjunction with other substationequipment.

Documentation:

Preparedetailed test reports commissioning procedures and other relevantdocumentation.
Maintain accuraterecords of testing activities andresults.

TechnicalSupport:

Providetechnical support to project teams and clients regarding numericalrelay protection systems.
Assistin troubleshooting and resolving issues related to numerical relayperformance.
QualityAssurance:
Ensure adherence toquality standards and procedures throughout the testing andcommissioning process.
Identifyand address potential quality issues related to numerical relayinstallations.

Training:

Participatein training programs to stay updated on the latest advancements innumerical relaytechnology.
Provide training andguidance to junior engineers on numerical relay testing andcommissioningprocedures.
Qualifications andExperience:

Diploma/bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a relatedfield.
Minimum 3 years ofexperience in numerical relay testing andcommissioning.
Strongunderstanding of numerical relay protection principles andapplications.
Proficiency in usingtesting equipment and softwaretools.
Knowledge of relevantindustry standards and regulations (e.g. IECIEEE).
Excellent problemsolvingand analytical skills.
Strongcommunication and interpersonalskills.
Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.

PreferredQualifications:

Certificationin numerical relay protection (e.g. SchniederGE ABB/HitachiSiemens).
Experience withsubstation automationsystems.
Knowledge of SCADA andsubstation controlsystems.

AdditionalSkills:

Proficiencyin relevant softwaretools
Experience with substationdesign and engineeringpractices.
