Job Description:

Senior Java/J2EE Developer with Life Insurance Experience -

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code. Lead the development of complex projects by understanding and analysing requirements and developing software solutions in the Life Insurance domain. Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software solutions. Guide and mentor junior developers in best practices, code quality, and a range of technologies and frameworks. Handle various aspects of software development, including debugging, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance. Manage production support, troubleshoot software issues, and enhance system performance. Ensure scalability and security of all applications and systems. Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and follow project management methodologies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

6-8 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development. Strong understanding of Java and J2EE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management, etc.). Extensive experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts. Proficient in SOAP and RESTful web services. Solid experience in Life Insurance industry applications. Strong database skills, preferably with SQL and ORM technologies. Experience leading a development team. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desired Additional Skills :

Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and AJAX. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, etc. Project management experience or certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner).
