Purpose This role is responsible for overall maintenance of Extrusion lines and Injection Molding which includes Preventive maintenance, Breakdown handling, Spare parts management, Capex and Opex budgeting. He/She also responsible for people management for the dept including team building, progressive culture and implementation of best practices

·Responsible for day-to-day Mechanical & Electrical maintenance activities, equipment availability and R&M cost.

·Ensure robust systems for Preventive maintenance are put in place at unit and monitor compliance to preventive maintenance systems.

·Monitor breakdowns at plant, lead team for RCA & implementation of CAPA, take action to resolve chronic breakdown areas.

·Resolve chronic engineering issues in unit to improve equipment availability & reliability.

·Implement system for asset management and identification and build-up of critical spares.

·Implement guidelines for engineering improvement and implement system to monitor engineering health across the plant through an objective scorecard system.

·Support implementation of Capital Projects by managing site execution of these projects.

·Identification of skill gaps & training needs of engineering teams at unit.

·Keeping track of statutory & regulatory compliances related to engineering.

·To identify and develop vendors and contractors to provide quality service at competitive market rates.

·Analyze and work towards the improvement of energy efficiency.

·Implementation of best industrial practices in the plant to improve safety, quality, efficiency and productivity.
