  • Aspart of the team you will be responsible for leading the Mumbaiproject design teams in delivering the design of external fa adepackages for a diverse range of architecturally sophisticatedbuildings throughout the UK and Ireland. Reporting to the DesignManager you will work closely with the preconstruction commercialand operational teams throughout the design production andinstallation stages of eachproject.

Responsibilities
  • Interpretingarchitectural requirements for the design fabrication andinstallation of building facades roof lights and fenestrationthrough drawings and other related information. This includesensuring compliance with the manufacturer s recommendations companyprocedures client requirements representative standards and currentlegislation.

  • Monitoringeach project to ensure it stays within budget and aligns with thecompany s design and QAprocedures.

  • Providingdirection and support to the design teams (both internal andexternal) monitoring design program progress and reporting anypotential issues to the Designteam.

  • Regularlyliaising with other departments including Purchasing EstimatingCommercial andOperations.

  • Attendinghandover meetings to discuss the project identify design areasneeding attention and clarify the scope ofwork.

  • Proactivelyaddressing any discrepancies in project documentation orspecifications and arranging meetings asnecessary.

  • Followingup on and requesting outstanding information fromclients.

  • Ensuringthat any relevant project information received from the customer isappropriately communicated to thecompany.

  • Overseeingthe production of working drawings/designs in accordance with thespecifications received from the customer and amendments agreedupon at the preorderstage.

  • Ensuringthat drawings are within the estimated cost budget and thatconstruction methods setting out and materials used are clearlydefined.

  • Ensuringall calculations are produced in a timely manner to meetmanufacturers delivery dates in compliance with the company s CDMprocedures.

  • Liaisingdirectly with the appropriate representatives to agree on anyvariations between the customer specifications/drawings and thetender documents. Advising quantity surveyors of any potentialcontract variations and submitting designs for internal review andclientapproval.

  • Leadingthe timely production of flashing schedules procurement schedulesand cutting lists allowing sufficient time for internal review andchecking procedures and to meet manufacturers deliverydates.

  • Reviewingprocurement flashing schedules and all manufacturing paperworkproduced by other members of the designteam.

  • Supervisingand monitoring the issuance of drawings and other designinformation by other designers and trainee designers ensuringadherence to relevant processes andprocedures.

  • Keepingdaily records of contracts worked on for weeklytimesheets.

  • Leadingthe timely production of operation and maintenancemanuals.

  • Providingsupport to the Design Manager and all members of theteam.

  • Additionallythe Employer may assign any specific job to the Employee as deemednecessary.
