Overview:TheChiller Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficientoperation of chiller systems which are essential for maintainingoptimal temperature and humidity levels in various facilities. Thisrole is crucial in maintaining the functionality of chiller unitsand preventing disruptions to operations due to temperaturerelatedissues.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Operate andmaintain chiller systems according to prescribed standards andprocedures
  • Perform routine inspections andpreventive maintenance on chiller units
  • Monitorand adjust temperature and pressurelevels
  • Identify and troubleshoot chiller systemmalfunctions
  • Conduct regular cleaning andservicing of chiller components
  • Documentchiller operation and maintenanceactivities
  • Respond to chiller system alarms andresolve issues promptly
  • Ensure compliance withsafety regulations and practices
  • Coordinatewith maintenance teams for complex chillerrepairs
  • Optimize chiller system efficiency andenergy usage
  • Participate in training activitiesrelated to chiller operation andmaintenance
  • Keep accurate records of chillersystem performance and maintenanceactivities
  • Communicate effectively withsupervisors and team members
  • Stay updated onindustry developments and best practices in chilleroperation
  • Assist in the development of chillermaintenance schedules andplans
RequiredQualifications:
  • High school diplomaor equivalent
  • Proven experiencein chiller operation andmaintenance
  • Familiaritywith HVAC systems and chillercontrols
  • Ability to interprettechnical manuals and schematics
  • Strongtroubleshooting and problemsolvingskills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols andprocedures related to chilleroperation
  • Physical ability to performmaintenance tasks and lift heavyequipment
  • Excellent attention to detail andadherence to quality standards
  • Certification inchiller operation or HVAC maintenance(preferred)
  • Effective communication andteamwork abilities
  • Willingness to work flexiblehours and respond to emergencysituations
  • Understanding of environmentalimpact and energy efficiencyconsiderations
  • Ability to work independentlywith minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skillsfor maintenance recording andreporting
