What You WillDo

You are passionateabout Cybersecurity and have experience building and deployingdistributed ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) stacks. Youwill help develop, enhance, design, deploy, and maintain our cyberprograms, data analytics, threat hunting, and machine learningmodules.

  • Be the primary subject matterexpert for log ingestion/analysis.
  • Develop ELKstacks as infrastructure as code.
  • ImplementLogstash configuration files, set up data pipelines for various logtypes such as Syslog.
  • Design, access, andmaintain data stores, feeds, and associated tools based on ELK tofully integrate environments with multiple data sources includingthird-party applications.
  • Develop automationscripts to identify anomalies and visualize them inKibana.
  • Identify, design, and implementimprovements such as automating manual processes, optimize deliveryof data, and re-design infrastructure asrequired.
  • Assist in the development of networkintrusion analytics as part of a largerteam.
  • Configure and maintain Linux-based OS insupport of ELK stack.
  • Document the installationand configuration for productiondeployments.

Qualifications

  • Abachelor’s degree in software development, computer science, orinformation technology or related fieldrequired.
  • 2+ years of experience with ElasticStack cluster architecture, design, anddeployment.
  • 3+ years’ experience with ELK forlog ingestion and analysis in production environments. Must havedesigned and implemented an ELK solution including Elasticsearch,Logstash, Kibana.
  • 2+ years’ experience withsecurity monitoring activities; threat hunting, threat detection,and incident response.
  • Ability to configure,maintain, and troubleshoot multiple Elastic environments atcustomer sites on-premises instances and cloudinstances.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps andAgile methodologies.
  • Experienced with dataingestion, indexing in Elasticsearch.
  • Deepknowledge of Linux distros including deployment, management, andsecurity.
  • Infrastructure as code experience,such as Terraform.
  • AWS or Azure Certification(DevOps, Solutions Architect, etc.)
  • Experiencewith containerized orchestration technologies like Kubernetes,Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet,etc.
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash,Java, PowerShell.
  • Must be able to learn,understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Workingknowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, VPN, VPCnetwork interfaces.
  • Understanding of securitydata and controls.
  • Comfortable working onmultiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbaland written communication skills; ability to work in a teamenvironment.
  • Ability to work independently withminimal direction;self-starter/self-motivated.
  • Technical writingexperience.
  • Security Certifications: Security+, CISSP, SANS Certifications, Network +, OSCP are aplus.
  • Experience with SIEM technologies such asSplunk ES, QRadar, McAfee, HP ArcSight and/or LogRhythm are aplus.
