Position Summary

Reporting Manager:  Director, Careers

Team Size: 3-4 Interns

The Careers Team is a newly formed vertical catering to 4900+ Alumni. As Teach For India moves into its next strategic phase, this team plays a crucial role in matching the Alumni of our programs at an intersection of their interests and the needs of the system and our children. The overarching charge of this team is to foster lifelong connections through platforms, events, strategic partnerships and more to fuel ongoing interest and visibility into opportunities for individuals to engage with careers enabling educational equity in India. 

The Student Alumni Wing, an integral part of our commitment to lifelong success, operates within the broader Careers Team framework, fostering connections among 14,000+ student alumni across 7 cities. Its charge will be to create platforms that foster and encourage many to make support for our Student Alum to grow in their abilities to lead themselves, others and create change. 

The Consultant will work for a duration of 6 months to ensure robust database management to have accurate and current information on our student Alumni. Their responsibilities include formulating and executing strategic plans and fostering key partnerships with Fellow Alumni and regions to build our Student Alumni database. They will be responsible for:

Ensuring the collection and updation of the student alumni database, overseeing regular updates and maintenance Designing surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and designing data dashboards Guarantee accessibility to the database for relevant stakeholders, ensuring seamless and secure information sharing Collaborate with city teams to integrate the student alumni wing seamlessly into their operations, ensuring a cohesive and synchronized approach across different locations Facilitating the management of a user-friendly platform/portal for student alumni, enabling them to stay connected, access resources, and explore opportunities for continuous learning and development

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

Graduate/Postgraduate in any field with a minimum 4 years of experience Strong project management skills and ability to take complete ownership of projects. Strong data and analytical skills (excellent Excel skills, data/evidence gathering, analysis and interpretation) and research capabilities. Ability to work collaboratively and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment  Experience of having built strong relationships and having influenced others without authority Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

Previous experience working in the development/education sector Experience in managing high-functioning foundational teams toward targeted outcomes
