Job Title: aPriori Cost Engineer

Location: Pune Maharashtra

Job Summary

TheCost Engineer plays an integral role in building out a costmanagement platform internally.

Job Responsibilities

To accomplish the technical implementation of the aPrioriplatform the implementation engineer:

Will handle project management and executionto meet internal timelines and expectations.

Will prioritize projects based on implementation time and impact oninternal product cost

management strategy(value of project).

Supports aPriori solutionconfiguration which requires the modeling of manufacturingfacilities

including capabilities rules andaccounting rates.

Will work with subjectmatter experts to deeply understand manufacturingprocesses/operations. Can

associateoperation/process to geometric features cycle time and cost impact.Can develop logic

(formulas and rules) tocapture that relationship.

Will inform usersand maintain documentation on configurations made. Will train themon improving

their cost estimates with theupdates made; this will include documenting and reviewing the stepby

step clicks and considerations to make whencosting.

AcademicQualifications

B.Tech/BEin Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing

Experience

15 years experience in costing of metallic components orDiploma in Mechanical Manufacturing

Tools

5 to 10 years experience in costing ofmetallic components with Die Design

Female

SkillsRequired

Excellentcommunication and facilitation skills.

Understanding of design and manufacturing challenges whendeveloping a product.

Strong negotiationskills to defend your cost model with logic.

Exposure to machining shop floor & supply chain.

Must understand derivation of machine hour rate.

Indepth understanding of cost models andrelated cost estimates to drive confidence in estimates

throughout organization.

Provencritical thinker and team player who is resultsdriven and has apositive attitude.

Skilled with MicrosoftExcel.

Experience with a basic scriptinglanguage and CAD is a plus.

aPriori Super User(can cost in aPriori and make manual overrides to tune in cost) isa plus.

Understanding of manufacturingprocesses involved in Machining Forging Casting. Additive

Manufacturing is a plus.
