The Security Specialist - GRC will work with other members of the security and privacy team to create, maintain, and improve processes of information security and privacy management system (ISPMS); and to identify, assess, control, record and review ISPMS risks across Lionbridge. This role will assist/lead in ISPMS Governance, Risk Management and Compliance initiatives, and will lead and facilitate ISPMS audits for Lionbridge.

What You Will Do

  • Assist / lead the Information Security and Privacy compliance audits
  • Monitoring security compliance through ongoing security control reviews and risk assessments and working closely with other Trust team members to review and advise on Information Security issues that require support and closure
  • Create, maintain, and improve processes for information security and privacy risk management
  • Support and develop answer responses to customer and external stakeholder questions and audits
  • Develop company-wide best practices and policies for information security and privacy management based on audit findings
  • Proactively track and review information security risks within our organization and take appropriate action, ensure the compliance with our policies are strictly adhered
  • Maintain currency with emerging legislation and security enhancing technologies and research into applicable hardware and software in Information Technology 
  • Lead the ongoing maintenance of the ISO27001 and ISO27701 Information Security and Privacy Management System

 

 

To Be Successful You Will Have

 

  • 5+ years relevant experience in IT / Information Security Risk & Compliance
  • Experience in leading or assisting with the implementation of security and privacy controls from internationally recognized frameworks (eg. ISO27001)
  • Familiar with applying compliance in a highly agile environment
  • Some technical experience to understand and communicate effectively with our technology teams
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English with good communication skills
  • Good investigative skills and consummate attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent

 

Preferred, but not necessary

 

  • Exposure to GRC Tools
  • Relevant security industry certifications including but not limited to ISO27001, CISA, CISM, CRISC, etc.
