The successful candidate will beresponsible for conducting eye exams diagnosing and treating visualproblems and prescribing corrective lenses. The optometrist willalso be responsible for maintaining patient records andcommunicating with other healthcare professionals asneeded.Responsibilities:

• Conductcomprehensive eye exams to assess visual acuity and detect visualproblems
• Diagnose and treat visual problemsincluding nearsightedness farsightedness andastigmatism
• Prescribe corrective lenses such aseyeglasses or contact lenses as needed
• Monitorpatients eye health and refer to ophthalmologists or otherhealthcare professionals as needed
• Maintainaccurate and uptodate patientrecords
• Communicate with other healthcareprofessionals such as primary care physicians asneeded

Requirements:

• Doctorof Optometry degree from an accreditedinstitution
• Valid state license to practiceoptometry
• Strong diagnostic and problemsolvingskills
• Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills
• Ability to workindependently and as part of ateam
