Job Title: Senior Medical Coder - Radiology
Job Description:
· We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Coder to join our team and specialize in Radiology coding. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology with a focus on radiology procedures. You will be responsible for accurately assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes for radiology services while adhering to all coding guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities:
· Review radiology reports and documentation to accurately assign CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes.
· Ensure coding accuracy and completeness while adhering to coding guidelines, regulations, and compliance standards.
· Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and industry trends related to radiology coding.
· Provide training and guidance to junior coders and staff members on radiology coding practices and procedures.
· Collaborate with billing and reimbursement teams to optimize revenue cycle management and ensure timely reimbursement.
· Participate in coding-related meetings, workshops, and educational programs to enhance coding skills and knowledge.
RequirementsQualifications:
· 1-6 years of experience in medical coding, with a strong focus on Radiology.
· AAPC certification (CPC, CRC) is required.
· Proficiency in assigning CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes for radiology procedures and services.
· Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and radiology imaging techniques.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
