Team Lead - Reference Data Technology

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Team Lead in Reference Data Technology. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting an operations team in a high-pressure environment where timeliness and quality of data are of utmost importance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in architecture and design, with full-stack development experience in Angular and Java. In addition to technical prowess, the candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with Operations users and translate their requirements into appropriate solutions. A candidate who has previous experience in developing solutions to automatically detect and present options to fix anomalies in datasets will have the advantage.

Responsibilities

- Lead a team of developers and provide technical guidance and mentorship

- Support the operations team in managing and maintaining reference data systems

- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of high-quality data

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop efficient solutions

- Analyze data quality issues and develop strategies to improve data accuracy and integrity

- Utilize techniques to identify anomalies in existing datasets and come up with solutions to address

- Drive process improvements to enhance data quality and operational efficiency

- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to reference data technology

Requirements

- Proven experience supporting an operations team in a high-pressure environment

- Strong technical background with deep expertise in Angular and Java development

- Strong SQL skills

- Experience leading a team of developers

- Proficiency in data quality analysis and management techniques

- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence methodologies for detecting and evaluating data quality anomalies

- Solid understanding of reference data systems and their importance in business operations

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

- Effective communication and leadership abilities

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced knowledge of AI techniques and frameworks for data quality analysis

- Experience in implementing data quality solutions and frameworks

- Understanding of data governance principles

- Familiarity with big data technologies and tools

- Knowledge of financial or regulatory systems and reference data domains

- Python skills would be an asset
