Job Overview:

As a Senior Java API with AWS Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java-based APIs and integrating them with AWS services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of our applications, contributing to the overall success of our technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Java API Development:
  • Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable Java-based APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
  1. AWS Integration:
  • Architect and implement solutions on AWS, leveraging various AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and others.
  • Develop and maintain serverless applications and microservices on the AWS cloud platform.
  1. System Architecture:
  • Contribute to the overall system architecture, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in the evaluation and selection of technology components.
  1. Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, product owners, and other development teams.
  1. Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Java API and AWS integrations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java API development.
  3. Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and deploying applications on the AWS platform.
  4. Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful API design.
  5. Knowledge of serverless architecture and microservices.
  6. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  2. Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  3. Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
