JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Quality Engineering Test Manager to join the Enterprise Technolgy QE team and contribute to a growing portfolio of projects. Accountable to provide test strategy, plan, and execution for all aspects of testing for the Digital ERP systems and integrated ecosystems. Deliver project testing in an agile manner with quality embedded into the SDLC. Provide automation and regression test beds for key applications and ensure projects are sequenced and released into production as per the project timelines.

ABOUT THE JOB (RESPONSIBILITIES):

Key Metrics:

Leads the QA teams to ensure alignment to the business strategy, project goals and technology roadmaps with adherence to the enterprise QA governance, best practices, and policies.

Creates and delivers with strategic partners the strategy, tools, templates, and processes for QA and determines a best practice approach to mitigate risk during technology implementations.

Overall ownership and oversight of standard test bed, performance, regression, and automation testing including release tools, test data and test environment management. Partners with cutover and release management to coordinate activities.

Implements QA metrics (KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)) to drive an increase and improvement in test automation and quality while decreasing defects in our production environments.

Partners with business stakeholders to define, prioritize and execute test strategies, test plans and cutover rehearsals for technology projects and enhancements to ensure successful delivery of business capabilities.

ABOUT YOU (QUALIFICATIONS):

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Business Administration, or technology related field

Overall – 10 plus years of IT experience in Quality Assurance and/or Test Management including responsibility and ownership for QA execution . Strong proficiency in test automation, regression, and performance management inclusive of risk evaluation, project management and demand management. Experience required in successful management of relationships with multiple service providers (technology and services – including non-US based off-shore service providers).

Industry experience – Deep QA and testing strategies, tools, process and technology knowledge and experience, with innovative and progressive solutioning record of accomplishment. Proven experience with the deployment and operations of an outsourced QA function. Experience testing complex, global ERP implementations and integrated supply chain systems (warehouse management, order management, planning and reporting)

 Information Technology Literacy: Experience testing packaged ERP solutions (preferably SAP AFS, FMS, or S/4 Fashion) and Warehouse Mgmt. Systems (JDA, Manhattan) and/or others. An understanding of integration methodologies including EDI, ETL and service-based integrations.

IT Leadership : Ability to lead an effective QA organization made up of employees and vendor resources both onshore and offshore with highly technical skill sets. Experience leading successful IT application implementations.

Business Leadership : An attitude and aptitude for continuously developing business agility, quality, and scalability. The ability to serve as a change agent and influence business direction. Serves as an advocate for the project stakeholders and evangelize the function of QA back to application owners and the business.

Program Management Expertise : Must have experience leading systems implementations to a successful conclusion. Must have clear understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile project and business process management methodologies and tools. Prior experience of large ERP, preferably SAP implementations a plus.

Communications : Excellent communicator at all levels of the organization. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills.

Ability to Work in a Global, Matrixed Environment : The teams and resources are broadly distributed. Must be effective at managing remote resources in a dual-report and matrixed structure. An understanding and appreciation of the challenges of working globally with a respect and understanding of the diversity of our people and cultures.

Achievement Orientation : Knowledge of how the delivery of IT solutions can enable achievement. Skills required include people management; project management; proactive problem solving; decision-making; risk taking; execution expertise.

Service Orientation : Working comprehension of research methods to evaluate stakeholder requirements and responses. Skills required include partnering; proactive problem solving; scanning for and sharing business information. Knowledge of the company’s business practices and direction, as well as familiarity with the company’s products and resources.

Strong analytical and conceptual skills : The ability to utilize both quantifiable and qualitative information to quickly draw conclusions.

Key Relationships:

Members of the Quality Engineering and Release Management teams, IT Functional Leads, Business Partners, collaboration with Systems Integrator (SI), application vendors and technical partners. Consults with and supports IT Leaders/IT peers. Manages key relationships with relevant vendors including Infosys, Cognizant, SAP, Manhattan, SIs.
