Objectives of the Position        

1. Responsible for monthly GST reconciliations & returns

2. Manage income tax related activities including timely calculation and filing of monthly TDS & TCS returns

3. Ensure statutory and corporate compliance per Ministry of Corporate Affairs, which may include coordinating with Sun Chemical Legal team to ensure secretarial compliance for India office

4. Assist with statutory audits, income tax audits and transfer pricing audits

5. Assist with other critical finance functions ensuring compliance with due dates in the absence of the Finance Manager

 

 

Main Areas of Responsibilities:

1. GST Compliance

  • Overall responsibility of all GST related work in the company

  • Review Of Monthly GST Returns Preparation & Tax Computation For all GST registrations

  • Monthly review of GST reconciliations for sales and Input Tax Credit (ITC)

  • Quarterly review of reconciliation Of all GST ledgers balances with GSTN electronic ledgers

  • Collaborate with IT Team for process improvement and development Of GST-related reports when required

  • GST Annual Return preparation & filling of teturns before due date

  • Coordinate with GST consultants for GST related queries and manage GST notices from the GST Department

 

2. Income Tax Compliance

  • Estimation and timely payment of corporate taxes

  • Review and manage payment of withholding taxes (excluding payroll)

  • Coordinating with Consultant for preparation and filing of tax returns (corporate tax, withholding tax, other business tax returns but not including payroll)

  • Preparation & booking of monthly tax provisions

 

3. Secretarial Compliances

  • Responsible for overall secretarial compliances requirements for a Private Limited company

  • Work with Legal team to ensure all secretarial compliances are in place

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all compliance activities

 

4. Other

  • Support Statutory Audit, transfer pricing audit, tax audits; and assist Finance Manager as needed and in case of absence

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance

 

 

Job Requirements:

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

  • Company Secretary with active membership, CS/CA will be an added advantage

 

 

Working Experience:

  • 7 to 8 years of experience

 

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of GST, income tax regulations, and corporate secretarial compliance in India

  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
