PositionSummary
WomenLift Health is seeking anexperienced innovative and dynamic India Communications SeniorManager to work under the direction of the India Director and inclose collaboration with their counterparts in India teamcommunications teams in India and other countries around the globe.The India Communications Senior Manager will play an important rolein implementing WomenLift Healths communications strategy and willprovide support in content creation stakeholder management andmanaging the overall communications portfolio for WomenLift Healthin India.
This position will require highlevel strategicthinking and strong program management skills to ensure planningand effective implementation. The incumbent must be a selfstarterand selfdriven learner; relish cocreating with a team; anddemonstrate excellent project management and oral and writtencommunication skills. They must possess a keen eye for detailplanning and organization. The ideal candidate should be able totoggle adeptly between working independently and in a team andexercise clear judgment when delineating issues that can be managedindependently versus those that should be escalated to supervisors.Keen observation emotional intelligence astute judgment andproficient management skills are critical to success in thisposition.
This recruitment is for 1 fulltime (100% FTE)position and will report to the IndiaDirector
Responsibilities and Tasks
Create and execute an integrated communications strategyfor WomenLift Health across platforms that supports Indiasobjectives and drives engagement with key audiences inIndia.

  • Provide communications supportto WomenLift Healths core programs including generating demand andplanning application launches for WomenLift Healths signatureLeadership Journey PowerUp workshops and soon.
  • Lead the writing production design anddistribution of a wide variety of publications and collateralmaterials including opinion articles reports press releasesnewsletters presentations podcasts statements and otherecommunications.
  • Support WomenLift Healthsinternal communications including preparing PowerPointpresentations creating checklists and process documentation andpublishing guidelines.
  • Manage media relationsfor WomenLift Health in India
    • Translate complexhealth leadership and science jargon to actionable communicationoutputs for a diverse pool of audiences and stakeholders.
    • Support in theorganisations story telling agenda in Indiancontext.
    • Identify and facilitate new contentopportunities exploring ways to repurpose existing content in theWomenLift Health repository to position the brands thoughtleadership.
    • Generatefresh creative ideas for initiatives and campaigns across channelsand work with cross regional teams and agency to execute on them.
    • Drive participation in WomenLift Healthhostedevents through creative content and promotional strategies inIndia.
    • Manage consultantsagencies etc. as well as video content producers and assignprioritized content projects. Support relationship with externalgroups through personalised meetings and outreach especially withthe press and influential media and social media partners both atnational and state levels.
    • Bring a strong dataanalytics capability and Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL)commitment to the work to help inform and adjust the strategy asneeded.
    • Set short andlongterm goals and measure effectiveness of the content on amonthly quarterly and yearly basis.
    • Identifyopportunities for WomenLift Health at important events related togender equality and health inIndia.

Educationand Experience (Required)

  • Masters degree inCommunications Media Journalism Public Policy Public Health Science& Technology or related field.
  • Thisposition requires at least 10 years of relevant work experiencewith at least 3 years of independent portfolio management.Experience working in communications for nonprofit gender womensleadership global health media academic or research organizationsis desirable
  • Experience with a diverse set ofstakeholders and liaising with external agencies and vendors; aproven track record of managing deadlines; and an aptitude formultimedia content production
  • Proven experiencein executing communications strategies
  • Abilityto think analytically and strategically and work under tightdeadlines
  • Proven leadership and experiencemanaging and building a team

Knowledge skills andabilities(Required)

  • Communicationskills: Detailoriented with excellent writing copyediting andinterpersonal skills. Deep understanding of the key principles ofcommunicating messages in ways that nontechnical audiences canunderstand. The incumbent needs to be precise clear andcreative
  • Organization: Excellent strategicthinking and ability to handle multiple projects at once meetdeadlines and effectively manage time. Is able to bringconsistently high levels of thoroughness and initiative to allprojects undertaken
  • Demonstrated success infollowing through and successfully completing projects in a timelymanner
  • Interpersonal skills: Proven ability tocollaborate and cocreate with international teams and with clientsand external stakeholders
  • Experience in workingwith diverse stakeholders from different sectors cultures religionsand disciplines

  • Experience with web contentmanagement systems
