Thisposition offers options for inoffice locations in HyderabadIndia.

Asa member of our electrical team you would contribute to our missionby:

  • Performingand directing others in detailed building design includingstructural elements and systems for steel concrete timber andmasonry buildings and related engineeringcalculations.
  • Providingtechnical guidance and training to more juniorstaff.
  • Ensuringthat design standards and quality control procedures are followedand that designs comply with federal state and localcodes.
  • Mentoringmore junior staff and developing them for growth within theirdiscipline and thefirm.
  • Contributingto our Learning Management System by developing design standardswhite papers and technical designdocumentation.
  • Maysupervise the work of more junior staff on projectwork.
  • Growingand fostering relationships withclients.


Candidateswill also contribute to our growthby:

  • Collaboratingwith sales staff to create proposals in response to current andpotential client requests for proposals(RFPs).
  • Meetingwith current and potential clients to review their current andfuture designneeds.
  • Managingthe local design team in collaboration with the leadership team atour Nampa Idahoheadquarters.
  • Attendingconferences symposia etc. to improve the visibility of the firm sproducts and services in collaboration with applicable salesstaff.
  • Submittingtechnical articles and designs for publishing to technical journalsand industrypublications.


RequirementsRequirements
  • Bachelorof Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from anABETaccrediteduniversity.
  • 4years of building design experience related to the structuraldesign of concrete steel masonry and wood framestructures.
  • Proficiencywith Revit and Bluebeam as well as analysis software such as ETABSRAMetc.
  • Experiencefilling the role of project engineer for several projects occurringconcurrently.
  • Strongunderstanding and knowledge of industry codes including theAmerican Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) standardsInternational
  • BuildingCode (IBC) American Concrete Institute (ACI) codes AmericanInstitute of Steel Construction (AISC) standards and relevant localbuildingcodes.
PreferredQualifications
  • Modularconstructionexperience.
  • Experiencemanaging two or more people on a projectteam.
  • Experiencereviewing submittals and responding to construction administrationrequests forinformation.
  • ProfessionalEngineering (PE) or Structural Engineering (SE)license.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in StructuralEngineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited university. ProfessionalEngineering (PE) license. Will consider candidates with an Engineerin Training (EIT) certification, provided they demonstrate theability and commitment to obtain their Professional Engineering(PE) license within the first six months of employment. 4+ years ofbuilding design experience. Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam.Experience filling the role of project engineer for severalprojects occurring concurrently. Strong understanding and knowledgeof industry codes, including the National Electrical Code (NFPA70), National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (NFPA 72), Life SafetyCode (NFPA 101), International Building Code (IBC), and IEEEStandards. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of fire alarmdesign and installation. Modular construction experience.Experience managing two or more people on a project team.Experience reviewing submittals and responding to constructionadministration requests for information. Understanding ofCalifornia Building Energy Efficiency Standards. Skills &Abilities Comprehensive knowledge and multi-discipline experiencein planning, designing, and constructing large-scale projects.Strong self-leadership and interpersonal communication skills withthe ability to interact with employees at all levels effectively,persuasively, and tactfully. Ability to leverage a matrixorganization to build relationships and drive desired results.Excellent communication skills in a coaching/training atmosphere.Ability to be a flexible team player and adapt to changingrequirements.
