Exposure inRenewable Energy sectors like floatingPV plants in the field of StructuralEngineering. Experience inanalysing structures (Steel) subjected tomechanical / operating loads mechanical vibrations knowledge aboutCFD/FEA/FSIanalysis Wind Tunnel and Wave PoolStudy load stresses and behaviour of structures would bean advantage. Objective: Responsible for timelyinnovative cost effective and workable engineering solutions forinnovative and complex Structural Engineeringchallenges identified for Renewable Energy Sector. The SME shallcoordinate with of other disciplines viz.Electrical MEP and others(BU) for receiving innovative and complexchallenges and deliver necessary solutions. The SME shall be able to prepare / review the anchoringand mooring design calculations bring in structure designoptimization bring in innovative solutions review of vendordocuments foundation design and review etc. SME shall advise theEngineering team members as required to gainexposure and expertise to manage the StructuralEngineering activities within budgeted cost / quantitydeliver on time and maintaining a high quality ofengineering. KeyResponsibilities: Design Analysis Optimizationpreparing fabrication drawing Floats Floats Shapes and sizing of Floats Arrangement / layout offloats Internal stiffeningarrangement Strengthassessment of the floats (FRP/ HDPE) Detail fabrication drawing for float laminatesstiffening arrangement. Walkways / Accessways Arrangement of walkways aroundfloats Accessibilitystructures for panels servicing / maintenance Equipment foundations and arrangement Connections of walkway tothe floats and strength assessment. Fabrication drawing for walkway ladders accessplatforms equipment foundations. FloatInterconnections Design of the horizontal interconnections offloats Strength assessment of the overallmodules with the interconnection structure Fabrication drawings for horizontal interconnections. Connection design and strength assessment Float interconnections. Design of the horizontalinterconnections of floats Strength assessment of the overall modules withthe interconnection structure Fabrication drawings for horizontalinterconnections. Connection design and strength assessment FloatsVertical Posts Design and analysis of Vertical Posts Integration with floatsand FPV panels Fabricationdrawing preparation for vertical posts connections with floats andFPV Connection design andStrength analysis Mooring pattern and mooring lines Arrangement ofmooring lines Mooringanalysis Connections ofanchor lines with the module structure Fabrication drawing for mooring arrangement. Mooring anchors Anchor pattern arrangement. Anchor design Fabrication drawing Module Connections Layout of modules with feasibility of upscalingof the Plant capacity Connection design Global analysis for module interaction Fabrication drawings formodule connections Module patterns and combined anchoringArrangement of Array of modules Arrangement of Array ofmodules Limiting array size Combined mooring arrangement The Executionof abovementioned activities shall be done in following ways: Detailed evaluation ofWind Loads. Hydrostatic analyses for theFloat size and shape determinationsHydrodynamic analyses to evaluation of loading on floats Stability Analysis Mooring Analysis for mooring system design Structural analysis for strength design of Floats /Connection and topside. Finalization ofConnections scantlings and arrangements as per strengthrequirement. Final Hydrodynamic mooring andstructural analysis. Production of detailedfabrication drawing. Global Hydrodynamicmooring and Structural Analysis with interconnected floats SME will beresponsible to solve challenging Floating StructureEngineering issues by incorporating innovative designsmaterials assembly / manufacturing processes etc. which leads totechnocommercially advanced product solutions leading to successfulcommercialization of such innovative designs / products offering anedge over competitors and over existing engineering practise asrequired by different Business Units of PTD IC. Must be capable of preparing detailedtechnical specifications and 2D / 3D designs /drawings detailed BoM construction methodologyproduction friendly design cost effective materials / methodsdefining necessary test procedure standards and compliances3rd party certifications conduct and assessresults of field trials to commercialize R&Dproducts / technologies. Must possess provencommand over innovative materials and advanced manufacturingtechniques / tools for costeffective production.Provide necessary advice / recommendations / solutions tocritical structural design issues faced by project engineeringteams of different BUs to enable them towardsCorrect interpretation of contractspecification to ensure proper adherence to the scope of work andtechnical requirements. Receiving necessaryapprovals from Clients Consultants or otherparties as per project requirements Review andrecommend over critical issues pertaining to StructuralEngineering Risk analysis for takingproper decisions analysing the risk impacts and mitigationmeasures. GeneratingIntellectual Property (IP)and knowledge sharing for the company through Filling and defending existing and new patents designregistrations copyrights etc. Presentation offindings through research papers popular talks in seminars whitepapers podcasts etc as per CompanyPolicy.
