As anInstrumentation Designer specializing in E3D/S3D (Intergraph Smart3D) your job description would encompass various responsibilitiesrelated to designing modeling and implementing instrumentationsystems within industrial plants orfacilities.

  • UtilizeE3D/S3D software to create detailed 3D models of instrumentationsystems including instruments control valves junction boxes tubingand supports.
  • Developinstrumentation layouts and piping arrangements based on projectspecifications P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)and engineering standards.
  • Ensurethat instrumentation designs comply with regulatory requirementssafety standards and industry bestpractices.
  • Work closely with processengineers electrical designers and other stakeholders to integrateinstrumentation systems into overall plantdesigns.
  • Coordinate with pipingdesigners to ensure proper routing of instrument lines and supportswithin the plant layout.
  • Communicateeffectively with multidisciplinary teams to resolve designconflicts and ensure alignment with projectobjectives.
  • Generate detaileddrawings isometrics and bills of materials (BOMs) forinstrumentation systems ensuring accuracy andcompleteness.
  • Prepare installationand fabrication drawings to guide construction activities andensure proper implementation of instrumentationdesigns.
  • Maintain comprehensivedocumentation of design revisions asbuilt changes and designcalculations for futurereference.
