Strategic Sourcing Engineer

Responsibilities
• Assist in the design and project/process management of new and current products,
programs, tools, and equipment under the technical guidance of senior engineers or
management.
• Conduct capacity assessments of suppliers to prevent bottlenecks and ensure optimal
supply base sizing.
• Execute commodity and supplier Global strategic sourcing strategies.
• Contribute to Make vs. Buy decision-making processes.
• Develop procedures and perform engineering evaluations, capability studies, quality
audits, data reviews, and other assessments to ensure product manufacturability.
• Provide technical assistance in manufacturing and inspection areas.
• Monitor data and metrics to identify supply base trends requiring action.
• Build and maintain strong relationships and communication with suppliers.
• Conduct audits to identify and correct problems and measure quality levels and trends.
• Interact with design agencies, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve design,
development, production, and acceptance issues.
• Prepare evaluation reports, analyze new technologies, and recommend improvements
for products and supply base adaptation.
• Assist in resolving global or strategic issues affecting multiple part families,
commodities, or suppliers to improve productivity, quality, and reduce flowtime.
Qualifications
• B.E. or higher in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field with
2+ years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated application of analyzing engineering designs and specifications to
achieve efficient and reliable manufacturing or acceptance processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional
teams daily
