Description

:  Data Engineer – Cloudera

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer with expertise in the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) and Spark-based ingestion pipelines. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in building and optimizing data pipelines and a track record of working with large-scale data infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems, ensuring optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Spark, and Cloudera technologies. Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes using Spark and Scala. Manage and deploy interactive Hive queries for data analysis and manipulation. Ensure data privacy and compliance according to the data governance and standards. Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Collaborate with data scientists to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.

Qualifications:

Proficient in Spark, Scala, and Hive, with hands-on experience in Cloudera Data Platform (CDP). Strong experience in building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets. Strong experience with Spark SQL and ANSI SQL. Experience in banking sector. Preference for experience in Payments or Financial Crime. Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools. Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
