This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. The addition of this new, non-billable position based in India within Oracle’s Health and AI Database Services Team is a significant step forward in improving our healthcare services in the dynamic multi-tenant cloud environment.

To support the vision, we are building a platform that manages end-to-end lifecycle, from provisioning to upgrade to terminate; and provides a self-service cloud experience to the customer. We are looking for passionate Site Reliability Engineers who possess Oracle Database Deep End-to-end Troubleshooting skills, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database, Data Management (SQL Performance management, Partitioning, Compression), Exadata expertise, Oracle GoldenGate expertise, and high-scale Database issue analysis skillsets, along with expertise in any of these skills: DevOps, PLSQL, and Python.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Software, Electronics, Operational Research, or Computer System Engineering. Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts. Experience in building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols. Experience with production operations and best practices for deploying quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise. 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, focusing on shipping scalable, cloud-native distributed systems. 2+ years of experience and working knowledge in scripting languages like Python, PLSQL, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting. 2+ years of experience in the development, management, and organization of Golden Gate replication. 2+ years of experience in development in PLSQL. Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations). Understanding of the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Shepherd and Terraform. Knowledge of CI/CD Platforms and components such as Jenkins. Knowledge of orchestration tools like Ansible and Chef. Knowledge of version control using Git. Experience in Maximum Availability Architecture & Best Practices for Oracle Database & Exadata. Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON is a plus. Building and managing Linux OS systems with a good understanding of how the Linux kernel works (IO, Network, and the ability to read and understand source code.

Define and develop monitoring infrastructure criteria (SLIs, SLOs). Solve complex and difficult problems and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Participate in incident management, operational/security maintenance, software performance analysis, and system tuning. Drives and actively participates in the resolution of complex technical issues. Drive Projects to improve the availability, scalability, security, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.
