RoleOverview:

As a Senior JavaDeveloper at AlphaNext you will be responsible for developingservices that capture and transform data into highqualitystructured datasets. These datasets will be utilized within ourSaaS application and by internal data analysts. You will supportthe development architecture enhancement and maintenance of our ETLprocesses and integrations. The Platform Team at AlphaNext isdedicated to driving efficiencies that optimize our operationalcost footprint while enabling our SaaS strategy and delivering corefeatures for our Value Added Services (VAS).

Working Hours : 3 pm to 12AM

Information about project

As a Java Engineer on thePlatform Team you will be responsible for developing services forcapturing and transforming data it into high quality structureddatasets to be utilized within our member SaaS application and byinternal Product Data Analysts. You will also be responsible forsupporting the development architecture enhancement and ongoingmaintenance of our ETL processes/integrations.
You willquickly develop a deep understanding of data architecture theframeworks to process the data and maintain quality data thatpowers the applications on our technology platform. The objectiveof our Platform Team is to enable our SaaS strategy and bring tolife core features of our Value Added Services (VAS) while drivinginternal efficiencies to optimize our operational costfootprint.
Youll get to work with a fantastic group ofengineers and product managers and have a direct influence onshaping our processes and product. The team here works hard and iscomfortable making mistakes with the understanding that when thingsgo right it can transform an institutionalized industry.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

Workclosely with the Platform Team Lead and Product Director to deliverengineering solutions for our user requirements
Buildservices that power data pipelines and design new data models asnecessary
Maintain ETL processes and workflows in acloud environment
Implement a robust system architecturethat takes into consideration how changes will affect thetestability maintainability scalability and observability of thesystem
Optimize our code processes and balancemaintaining optimal performance and continuous improvements to ourexisting data pipelines.
Consistently work to identifyand mitigate security concerns refactor old code judiciously andfollow development best practices
Assist with buildingreliable Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools e.g.DataDog CloudWatch alerting
Automate testing andcontinuous integration in delivering bugfree fully testcovered codein short time frames
Collaborate with various teamsacross the business (Operations Product etc.) to drive solutionsthat have a serious impact on our systems and our businessoverall
Work with talented diligent coworkers whoconstantly collaborate and learn together

Must have

Bachelorsdegree or higher in Software Engineering Computer Science or arelated field
10 years of experience designing buildingand refactoring highquality scalable Java services
4years of experience working with database models design DDLs andDMLs
2 years experience with workflow orchestrationservices like AWS Step Function AWS SQS AWS Lambda
Experience on Cloud Solutions (preferably AWS)
Experience building and supporting endtoend integrations acrossvarious methods (API/EDI/SFTP/Flat Files)
Priorexperience in a startup and comfortable owning decisions in arapidly changing environment
A desire to solve difficultproblems and translate those solutions into high performancecode
A solid mix of initiative critical thinking andwork ethics.
