Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager – Data Privacy & Protection

Seeking an individual passionate about Privacy to join the Data Privacy & Protection team. This is a program governance role focused on overseeing the implementation of strong privacy practices across the organization.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across legal, compliance, security, IT, and other teams to ensure effective data processing and privacy initiatives.
• Proactively identify and assess privacy risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Play a key role in the implementation of the India Digital Data Privacy Bill for the organization.
• Lead program management: Become a key stakeholder in the development and ongoing management of the organization's global privacy program. This includes overseeing the Governance Framework, Policy set, privacy risks, compliance roadmap, etc.
• Monitor and report on compliance: You will establish a framework for ongoing monitoring and reporting to ensure the organization adheres to regulations and standards.
• Data privacy in India: Lead the project for implementation of the new Digital Data Privacy Bill. This includes overseeing the creation of data maps and inventories, establishing transparency measures, enforcing purpose limitation, and ensuring individual rights and data fiduciary obligations are met.
• Collaboration with legal teams: Work closely with the legal team to identify and interpret regulatory requirements across jurisdictions and translate them into actionable implementation guidelines and controls.
• Assist in responses to data protection enquiries, internal and external privacy and compliance audits, data security incident responses, data protection agreement consultation, privacy complaints and resolution, subject access requests etc.
• Developing and conducting privacy awareness programs for employees, showcasing a genuine passion for instilling a strong understanding of data protection principles across the organization
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Relevant experience in Data Protection / Data Privacy / Risk roles
• Demonstrable Privacy and Data Protection experience, ideally gained in a services environment, or digital business
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to demonstrate decisiveness and sound judgement on a consistent basis
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and apply pragmatic solutions to complex legal / regulatory matters
• Proven record of success in working collaboratively as part of a team
• Experience in working in multinational organizations
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, cross-cultural matrix environment.
• Passion and commitment to individual privacy as a theme and for fostering a culture of privacy within the organization
Preferred qualifications 
• Preferably have worked in an Organization’s Privacy office or with Data Privacy officer
• Professional certifications related to Privacy (e.g., CIPP) or others such as CISA / ISO27001 LA etc. are preferable (though not mandatory)
• Other Industry certifications preferred but not mandatory e.g., CISA, CSSIP, CISM etc.
• Hands on experience with Privacy workflow management tools
