JobDescription :
As theHead of Department for Biology you will play a pivotal role inshaping the academic direction and success of our biology tutoringprogram. You will lead a team of dedicated Biology tutors ensuringthat they deliver highquality instruction and support to studentsof varying levels and abilities. Your expertise in Biology(Science) education leadership skills and passion for teaching willdrive the departments growth and contribute to the overall successof ourstudents.

KeyResponsibilities
1. CurriculumDevelopment: Collaborate with the academic leadership team todevelop and refine the biology curriculum ensuring alignment withrelevant standards and assessments (IBDP A Levelsetc.).

2.Instructional Leadership: Provide guidance and support to Biologytutors including lesson planning instructional strategies andassessment practices. Model effective teaching methods and promotebest practices in Biology (Science) education.

3. Teacher Training and Development: Coordinate professionaldevelopment opportunities for Biology tutors including workshopsseminars and peer observations. Mentor new tutors and provideongoing support and feedback to enhance teachingeffectiveness.

4.Student Progress Monitoring: Oversee the tracking of studentprogress and performance in Biology analyzing data to identifyareas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions asneeded.

5.Parent and Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly withparents and other stakeholders regarding student progress programupdates and upcoming events. Foster a positive and collaborativerelationship with thecommunity.

6.Resource Management: Manage departmental resources effectivelyincluding instructional materials technology tools and learningresources. Identify resource needs and make recommendations forprocurement ordevelopment.

7.Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and consistency of Biologyinstruction across all classes and programs. Conduct regularevaluations and assessments to monitor program effectiveness andmake datadriven decisions forimprovement.

8.Active Teaching: Be a part of the Frontline action and activelyteach a set of studentsenrolled.

Qualifications
B.S. M.S. or PhD degree insciences from an accredited college or university (Master s degreepreferred)
Valid Teachingcertification(preferred).
Minimum of 08 years of teaching experience in the relevant subjectareas in Experience of teaching with the InternationalBaccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE with demonstrated expertise in thesubject area.
Previousleadership experience in an educational setting (Team lead headetc.)
Strong organizational.communication and interpersonal skills with the ability tocollaborate effectively with colleagues students and parents
Proficiency in educationaltechnology tools.
Commitment tocontinuous improvement and innovation in Biology education
knowledge of curriculum andinstruction
Ability andwillingness to teach online and/or in a hybrid context asnecessary

Qualifications B.S.,M.S., or PhD degree in sciences from an accredited college oruniversity (Master s degree preferred) Valid Teachingcertification(preferred). Minimum of 08+ years of teachingexperience in the relevant subject areas in Experience of teachingwith the International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, withdemonstrated expertise in the subject area.
