Key Responsibilities:

BMS Operation and Monitoring: Operate and monitor the Building Management System to control, monitor, and optimize the operation of building systems. Monitor various parameters, including temperature, humidity, occupancy, and energy consumption.Respond to system alerts and alarms, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on BMS equipment and related systems.

Troubleshoot and repair faults in the BMS and associated building systems.

Alarm Monitoring and Response: Monitor and respond to alarms and alerts generated by the BMS. Investigate and troubleshoot system malfunctions and equipment failures, implementing corrective actions promptly.

System Optimization: Analyze data from the BMS to identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency, system performance, and occupant comfort. Adjust system settings and schedules as per requirements and energy management strategies.Implement strategies to optimize system performance and energy consumption. Collaborate with engineering and facilities teams to develop and apply best practices for system operation.

Equipment Coordination: Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure proper operation and maintenance of HVAC, lighting, and other systems controlled by the BMS. Communicate and escalate equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.

Reporting and Documentation: Generate reports on system performance, energy usage, and alarms. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and system changes. Provide periodic reports to management as required.Analyze BMS data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential improvements. Generate and review reports on system performance, energy usage, and maintenance activities.

Energy Management: Collaborate with the energy management team to implement energy conservation initiatives. Monitor energy consumption patterns and implement energy-saving measures as directed by management.

System Upgrades and Enhancements: Assist in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of system upgrades and enhancements to the BMS. Collaborate with vendors and relevant teams to ensure successful integration and optimum system performance.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to building occupants and staff on the use of the BMS and related control systems. Ensure efficient utilization of the BMS features and functionalities.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations related to the operation of building systems. Implement and enforce policies and procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.

Customer Service: Provide support to building occupants regarding BMS-related issues and requests. Coordinate with other departments to address any building system concerns.

Requirements: 

High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or certification in a related field preferred).

Proven experience as a BMS Operator or in a similar role.

Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, energy management, and security systems.

Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), particularly in operating systems such as Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or similar platforms.

Ability to interpret and respond to alarms, alerts, and system data.

Knowledge of energy management principles and best practices.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to collaborate and coordinate with various stakeholders, including maintenance teams, engineers, and vendors.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data monitoring and documentation.Willingness to work in shifts and be available for on-call duties as required.

May require working outside of standard office hours for emergency repairs or system updates.

Ability to lift and move equipment and materials as needed.

Exposure to varying building environments and system conditions.
