Job Description:


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of IT experience, including certification and reskilling in platform engineering technologies. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable platform solutions, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring robust application support. This role demands strong problem-solving skills, deep technical expertise in platform management, and effective collaboration within Agile environments.


Key Responsibilities:


• Platform Management & Optimization: Design, implement, and maintain scalable platform solutions, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

• Application Support: Provide application-level support, ensuring system stability and addressing performance bottlenecks.

• Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency in deployment, monitoring, and management of platform environments.

• Infrastructure Management: Manage underlying infrastructure components such as cloud resources, networks, and virtual machines.

• API Integration & Management: Implement and manage APIs for integration between platform services and other applications, ensuring seamless communication and data flow.

• Monitoring & Alerting: Set up and configure monitoring tools to track system health, performance, and security. Respond to alerts to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Agile Participation: Engage in Agile processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to iterative development cycles.

• Security & Compliance: Ensure platform security by adhering to compliance and security best practices. Implement security measures to protect data and infrastructure.

• Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform architecture, processes, and procedures, promoting best practices within the team.



Requirements

Required Knowledge:


• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Computer Applications.

• Platform Engineering Expertise: Strong understanding of platform architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.

• Automation Tools: Proficiency in using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins to streamline deployment and management processes.

• Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services, including storage, networking, and compute resources.

• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration.

• Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack for system health and performance monitoring.

• DevOps Practices: Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience working with CI/CD pipelines.

• Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices for platform security.

• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience providing after-hours support and resolving critical issues.

• Certification in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or related platform engineering technologies.

• Experience with platform migration and scaling large infrastructure environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks.



Requirements
