RolesandResponsibilities
The Senior Software Engineer (UI) contributes todesign development and deployment of Caterpillar s stateoftheartdigital application.
Responsibilities across functional lines with individualsassigned in new programdevelopment and/or maintenance of existing mobile WEB Cloud serverand/or distributed computingsystems.
Works directly on complex application/technical problemidentification and resolution including responding to offshift andweekend support calls.
Worksindependently on complex systems or infrastructure components thatmay be used by one or more applications orsystems.
Works independently onproof of concepts for new framework/technology/complexsolutions.
Drives applicationdevelopment focused around delivering business valuablefeatures.
Mentor and assistsoftware engineers providing technical assistance and direction asneeded.
Maintains high standardsof software quality within the team by establishing good practicesand habits Identifies and encourage areas for growth andimprovement within the team.
Guide software engineers to develop a structuredapplication/interface code new program documentation operationsdocumentation and user guides in a casual flexibleenvironment.
Communicate withothers to help direct development debugging and testing ofapplication software for accuracy integrity interoperability andcompleteness.
Identifies andencourage areas for growth and improvement within theteam.
Employee is alsoresponsible for performing other job duties as assigned byCaterpillar management from time totime.
Manages the completion ofits own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Based onpast experiences and knowledge works independently with minimalmanagement input and review of endresults.
Typical customersinclude Caterpillar customers dealers other external companies whopurchase services offered by Caterpillar as well as internalbusiness unit and/or service centergroups.
The position ischallenged to quickly and correctly identify problems that may notbe obvious. Solves problems by determining the best course ofaction within departmental guidelines from many existingsolutions.
Sets priorities andestablishes a work plan in order to complete broadly definedassignments and achieve desiredresults.
Participates inbrainstorming sessions focused on developing new approaches tomeeting quality goals in the measure(s)stated.
Good team player withsense of accountability positivity andflexibility.

RequirementsStrong Experience in design developmentand deployment oftheart digital applicationUI
Experience innew program development and/or maintenance of existingmobile WEB Cloud server and/or distributed computingsystems.
Competent toperform Frontend programming and development assignments withoutclose supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects ofsystemswork.
Ability todevelop Works independently on proof of conceptsfor newframework/technology/complexsolutions.
Bachelor ofEngineering orEquivalent
Experienceshould be 3 to 7Years
