Domain Experience: Degree in OccupationalHealth and Safety from an accredited academic institution orCombination
of Equivalent Qualifications andTraining.
Work Experience: Minimum 810 experienceperforming HSE duties in a large diverse organization.

General Roles &Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Conductsrisk assessments and develops an HSE gap analysis for theCorporation
Produces status reports on a monthly basisand undertakes followup on recommended remedial actionto
ensure compliance
Prepares and issues HSEinformation/guidelines to internal stakeholders asnecessary
Assists in the development and implementationof relevant HSE policies and procedures for the
Construction and Facilities Divisions and Office AdministrationDepartment
Facilitates HSErelated training asdirected
Assists in drafting and implementation of anEmployee Health and Safety Handbook Templates for the
conduct of risk assessments and any other HSE Guidelines / Formsfor use throughout the corporation
Completes HSE Auditsin accordance with the OSH Act and Amendments and the approvedAudit Plans
Performs Health & Safety RiskAssessments at an assigned location both scheduled orunscheduled
Develop a list of PPE to be issued toemployees based on roles within the Corporation; and submitfor
approval
Attends safety meetings andfollows up on outstanding safety issues as necessary.
Assists in the development of Emergency Evacuation Procedures asdirected
Highlights noncompliance of safety issue(s)with assigned Project Manager / Facility Manager andrecords
discussions inclusive of recommendations withtimelines for managements information and followup
action
Participates in HSErelated meetings and takesMinutes for followup action
Assists in ensuring that HSEsignage is procured and strategically placed in keeping with OSHrequirements
Develops and maintains an uptodate HSERegister/database
Undertakes safety inspections/riskassessments and makes recommendations to improve HSEcompliance Job Title: Asst. Manager SafetyManager as necessary
Ensures thatHSE signage is effectively displayed as a guide to both staff andvisitors
Conducts fire /evacuation drills asnecessary
Supervises the activities of the HSE Assistanton specific site(s) as are assigned
Undertakescontinuous Site Inspections and Walkthroughs and prepares reportson:
Availability and use of HSE equipment byCorporations Employees other project site staff andvisitors
Documents where applicable noncompliance bycontractors and/or vendors as it relates to the
OSH Actand Regulations and the Corporations HSE Policies and Proceduresfor Contractors and
Vendors Reviews and assesses Contractors Incident and Accident logs andsubmits reports with recommendations
within thespecified timeframes
Makes recommendations for HSEimprovements on project sites in keeping with internationalbest
practices and industry standards
Ensuresthat required HSE signage is installed as required
Owork related incidents/accidents on the Corporations project sitesand office locations
100% compliance with the provisionsof the OSH Act and Amendments
Documented and implementedHSE Policies and Procedures inclusive of a greenenvironment
HSE related training are undertaken asnecessary
Records Minutes of all meetings and undertakesfollowup activities on decisions/action items and
produces progress reports for superior
Ensures that HSEdocumentation are kept in accordance with the provisions outlinedin the OSH Act
Maintains the Deportments recordsmanagement function in accordance with the Corporations
approved policies and procedures
Performs any otherduties related to the job function as may be assigned
