The mission of this role:

Мanaging platform-level hardware architecture decisions; Executing product roadmap that reflects organizational, market and customer demands (including hardware system specifications and requirements); Leading design activities (at the product and component-level) with internal and external stakeholders (including third-party suppliers); Interfacing directly with customers as needed to gather intelligence and/or facilitate technical presentations; Developing innovative and reliable solutions that meet customer requirements; Defining component level tests to meet customer requirements; Interfacing with customer and advanced engineering teams; Assisting the purchasing team to manage product supply; Working with CYS, FuSa, software and other disciplines to ensure aligned solutions; Evaluating, refining and deploying design documentation templates and guidelines; Training and mentoring lower-level architects to develop skills to quote, design and deliver successful products; Publishing technical papers/journals in conferences / publications.

Scope of the role:

Reviewing customer RFQs, generating compliance matrices, evaluating technical feasibility and supporting quote creation;  Architecting solutions that meet customer requirements during the quote process; Reviewing and approving quote and program architecture decisions; Assisting pursuit teams to assemble / present quotes, write TADs and TDRs and cost BOMs;  Leading technical assessment during program quotes. Win target percentage of electrification pre-pursuits and pursuits; Awarded program hardware delivery / execution (related costs, PAD scores); Percentage of “on-platform” program wins.

Key experience required:

In-depth experience of power electronics design and development; In-depth experience in bringing power electronics from concept to mass production; In-depth knowledge of power electronics system analysis including electric, mechanical and thermal;  Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s preferred); Minimum five years of team management experience in power modules, microcontrollers, thermal and layout, Microcontrollers, Thermal and Layout; Minimum ten years of experience in automotive domain focusing on last five years of experience in the Electric Vehicle or Power conversion space with power electronics and vehicle electrification at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier; Five or more years in HV inverters or power converters at the system level; Solid exposure to software knowledge including; Applications requirements, functional safety, CAN messages, Flashing software and Vector tools; System knowledge including; inverters/OBC/DCDC testing; Strong experience in interacting with internal stakeholders and external customers; Direct customer experience in both sales and delivery phases.
