Director of Logistics

Our client Triple M Metal is one of NorthAmerica’s largest privately held fully integratedrecyclers of ferrous and nonferrous Scrap metals. Their growingenterprise operates 44 facilities across North America includingCanada the United States and Mexico. ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Director of Logistics you will lead a professional logisticsteam and provide oversight across Canada the USA Mexico and otherinternational operations. With an indepth knowledge of road railand ocean you will lead cost containment efforts for TMM in ahandson manner. The successful incumbent enjoys using their keenanalytical ability operational expertise and strong leadership todrive process improvement. Responsible for directing and leadingtransportation scheduling delivery and other elements of logisticsyour focus will be to streamline and automate logistics proceduresand methods. The sum of these efforts will lead to reduced costsexcellent service and optimization of the supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategicoversight and management of logistics operations
• Develop the logistics roadmap and KPIs and optimizesystems.
• Logistics systemsanalysis/optimization/recommendations
• Ownand prepare freight budgets and corresponding management andreporting.
• Carrier/Vendor relationship andcontracts management
• Review and standardizeall logistics processes SOP’s and roles.
• Develop excellent reporting of delivery scope and keyDeliverables.

REQUIRED SKILLS& EXPERIENCE

• 10 years in a leadership capacity demonstrating strongcareer progression in a related business (Logistics and SupplyChain leadership industrial/manufacturing business or any otherheavy industrial)
• Proven ability to developand deliver on KPIs and deliver measurable results.
• Heightened analytical skills and extremely strongnegotiating acumen.
• Demonstrated leadershipand proven ability to manage teams.
• Advancedknowledge of logistics/supply chain management best practices andtools
• Multimodal logistics knowledge withscope (Can US Mexico preferred)
• Solidknowledge of various logistics software andopportunities

EDUCATIONREQUIREMENTS:

•Bachelor’s degree
• Accreditationfrom one of the following designations:
