We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of datacenter networking, cloud networking technologies and best practices. As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and optimizing our datacenter/cloud networking infrastructure and ensure the highest levels of performance, security, and scalability.

What will this person do?

Implement and manage our datacenter & Azure Cloud networking infrastructure. Develop and maintain network security measures in collaboration with our security team, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs (Virtual Private Network), and encryption techniques, to safeguard sensitive data and applications. Create, standardize, and maintain detailed documentation of the physical and logical network topology.  Monitor, maintain and document trends related to the global cloud network for faults, performance, and capacity. Troubleshoot network/incidents problems. This includes on-call responsibilities. Participate in a formal incident rapid response process for priority incidents.  Participate in capacity planning to accommodate current and future workload demands. Participate in scheduled maintenance, outage response, last minute urgent requests. Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Follow and enforce Change Management guidelines and processes. Communicate with colleagues, management, customers, vendors, and others in a courteous, professional manner. Collaborate with Senior Network Engineers and Network Architects. Work outside normal business hours when required - scheduled maintenance, outage response, last minute urgent requests. Assist Application and System owners in troubleshooting networking related issues. Standardize and maintain network configuration data and inventory.  Document structured network, device configurations, circuit information and other network components. Maintain secure configurations in accordance with security and regulatory compliance (ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, etc.) in a Hybrid Infrastructure Environment (Cloud and On-Premises). Perform other related duties as assigned.

BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a focus on networking. 4+ years of experience in supporting network environments at an enterprise scale. 2+ years of data networking design, installation operation and support in a distributed environment. 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud networking with a focus on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Professional certification such as the CCDP, CCNP, CCNA, CCDE, Azure Certified Network Engineer or equivalent. Extensive experience in networking and network security with Cisco platforms. Extensive experience with SAN & NAS in an iSCSI environment. Experience with Cisco switching/routing and advance LAN/WAN configurations for highly available systems. Experience with Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS), Firewalls (Palo Alto) and Application Load Balancing(F5).  ITIL certification a plus. Ability to take initiative, and exercise professional, independent judgment to plan work, and make sound decisions. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven experience in implementing complex cloud networking architectures, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Network monitoring, maintenance, and optimization. Bonus: Experience with monitoring tools like Site24x7, OpsManager. Dynamic routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF Understanding of Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Terraform. Dynamic routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF Expertise in TCP and UDP mechanics including ability to interpret packet captures. Knowledge of Cisco IOS, NX-OS, VXLAN and NDFC. Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V, Horizon View) and server hardware (UCS/FI). Knowledge of IPAM, DHCP, DNS (Infoblox), HTTP(S), IPSEC, QoS  Scripting with Bash/PowerShell. Knowledge of SD-WAN is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting. Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
