JobDescription

1) FashionForecasting

Analyze the market andmonitor current fashion trends collections customer preferences andcompetitor activities. Develop and lead new category for thecompany.

Identify target markets for designslooking at factors such as age gender and socioeconomicstatus.

Forecast fashion for the season andgive guidelines to the stakeholders in the design team.

2) ApparelDesign

Plan and create new designspost getting concept guidelines from Creative Director for Look ofthe Season/Special collection/events etc

Setclearly defined guidelines and plan the design range as per salesbudget.

Ensure designs are at par with thecurrent market trends and in line with Brand Philosophy.

Ensure precise designs are offered in order to maintain ahigh design success rate and achieve targets.

Coordinate with the Fabric Department and in charge of the Team ofPattern makers Tailors cutting masters etc for sample making andend to end coordination for final production.

Lead and provide overall creative direction to the brand byconceptualizing and developing range for differentseasons

Ensure a desirable level of designapproval ratio and give regular feedback in order to make cleardecisions on the design range.

3) Innovation

Ensure seasonal freshness of the collections in tune withinternational benchmarks and trends to drive

brand as an innovative fashion leader.

Promote new concepts designs systems and out of the box thinkingfor product innovations and processes.

4)Market Research

Analyze themarket and monitor current fashion trends collections customerpreferences and competitor activities for fashion forecasting andgive broad direction to individual brands

Create themes for different seasons and provide the seasons themebrief to the marketing and visual merchandising team

5) Adherence to design calendar & SOP andmaintaining OTIF

Monitor theactivities of the design team to ensure delivery of designs as perdesign calendar.

Responsible for strengthening the design &merchandising process and ensuring SOP is adhered to for smoothdelivery of the product.

Job Requirement:

a)Overall Experience: 5 years of experience into MenswearDesign.

b) Industry Experience: Experience inPret / Ethnic / Classy Western/Couture

c)Educational Qualification: Post Graduation.

d)Technical Skills Required: Wellversed with adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Corel draw Innovative

ability tothink strategically.
