Knowledge Centre India (KCI)​

Knowledge Center India (KCI), is the central engine that drives the operational value for the firm. Established in 2004, KCI has evolved over the years from purely operational efficiencies into more value-added service offerings, becoming a true business partner. There are various teams based at KCI that work with Global Offices, Practice Groups and the Management across all aspects of the firm's business life cycle. With a headcount of more than 500, the center has 5 core teams working including Experts, Research Operations, Visual Solutions, Projects/CV Capture and Digital IT, working round the clock on many mission critical elements.​

Who we are

We are part of Digital-IT team established 16 years ago in Gurgaon, India to provide technology support and rollout digital initiatives to 60 plus global offices. Digital IT has six key pillars – Collaboration Technology; Functional Technology; Digital Technology; Security & Architecture; Infrastructure & Services, Digital Success to support business and to take lead on digital transformation initiatives with the total strength of 150+ team members across the globe.

The Position:

This position requires teamwork, professionalism, extended customer service, the ability to understand the company's goals/needs in order to apply the technology required to achieve them, and the desire to work in a fluid and fast-paced environment.

• Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support for the Linux infrastructure

• Install operate and maintain CentOS/Ubuntu flavor of Linux

• Developing Python/bash scripts to meet day to day system administration task and to support business application requirement

• Ability to automate test and deploy the code and monitor

• Knowledge in Unix/Linux security for example Iptables, SElinux etc.

• Performing network troubleshooting as well as the integration of internet software applications in a secure environment

• Understanding public key and certificate infrastructure

• Research evaluate and recommend Linux Unix software and hardware updates

• Write and review detailed technical documentation

• Lead technical effort in Unix and Linux areas such as capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and end-user support

• Establishing the root causes of major issues and escalating to the Senior Engineer

• Must have analytical ability, problem solving mindset and demonstrate good attention to detail

• Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates

• Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics

• Providing front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments

• Provide technical support through IM, phone and email communication

• Would need to work on weekends during updates and new rollouts

Requirements

• Experience between 2 – 4 years of experience in handling Linux/Unix

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline • Understanding of ITIL framework and processes

• Excellent communication in English and willingness to learn and grow

• The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a keen attention to detail, the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and possess the ability to communicate ideas in both a technical and user-friendly language
