Qualifications and Skills

• GNM or equivalent qualification
• Registered as a Nurse Midwife
• 1 to 3 years of experience in midwifery
• Strong knowledge and skills in antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Ability to handle childbirth emergencies with confidence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy and compassion towards pregnant women and their families
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Proficiency in medical record-keeping
• Knowledge of current midwifery practices and evidence-based care

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to pregnant women
• Assist with childbirth and ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby
• Educate and support women and their families regarding pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care
• Implement and follow standard protocols and guidelines for midwifery care
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in midwifery
