In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels
Introduction to Business
Job requires understanding of key elements of finance, budgeting and reporting on underlying variance drivers on a monthly basis. Coupled with building up project spend and tracking the same. Along with financials – T&O COO mgmt. team also takes care of agenda for the COO office starting from townhalls, R&R, new key initiatives, scorecards and so on. The role requires candidate to be flexible in terms of working hours especially during budgeting cycle and needs to have great communication skills (written, verbal) to be able to influence sub-units to get the required information and translate the same to senior management. A go-getter attitude is a must to thrive through this role.
This is a team lead role.
Role requires working very closely with the Head of T&O / Country COO and thus ability to present information / unstructured data in a succinct and insightful manner is important. Basic level understanding of banks / Financial Services organisation and their products will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating and preparing fortnightly / monthly Financial performance reports for the Technology Team. Reviewing business performance (P&L, BS and non-financial) and forming objective insights. Assisting with the strategic plans, annual budgeting exercise and forecasts. Developing cohesive presentations for internal and external forums. This will require active facilitation and teamwork across businesses and functional units. Coordinating and developing appropriate performance metric/systems in support of strategic intent (KPI/ Scorecard tracking) Creating scalability and efficiency through streamlining and automating reporting processes including monthly Financial forecast submissions to Head Office Participating in cross functional project work and new product proposals to help drive the strategic agenda including Strategic Cost Management Initiatives Facilitating ad hoc business and internal finance requests, including WOS related Financial planning Executive office reporting on goals/financials and business updates as required and preparation of materials for strategic discussions.Collaborate with multiple Technology and Operations (T&O) Units for preparation of budget, financial forecasts and report variances Prepare and publish timely monthly financial reports for allocated projects (specially on newly amalgamated entities) Champion Risk and control culture by analyzing drivers responsible for budget vs actual variance and implement sound controls to curb variation Build trust and collaborate with Regional teams across departments for various regulatory and management led deliverables Handle vendor consolidation activities related to Technology and Operations Maintains a complete and accurate general ledger, financial and management reports Unite with different T&O teams to ensure successful and timely closures of Audit reports Innovate and drive Employment Engagement activities within T&O units and report the engagement to Regional Teams Work with CRESA (Real estate team) for managing budget vs. actuals and providing valuable inputs in terms of closing divestment and branch relocation financial requestsRequirements
Min. 10-12 years of work experience of which at least last 2 years should be in similar profileEducation / Preferred Qualifications
Qualified Chartered Accountant / MBA from a premier instituteCore Competencies
Analytical skills to provide in-depth review on cost variance drivers Influencing ability to partner and extract information from stakeholders Data presentation and communication skills (to be able to provide key insights at various levels of stakeholders) Delivery with quick turn around timeTechnical Competencies
Understanding of basic banking products Familiar with automation tools like qlikview, alteryx MS office – advanced levelWork Relationship
