Job brief

We are seeking a qualified Guidance Counselor to supportand educate elementary middle and/or high school students through awellprepared counseling program. You will serve as the facilitatorfor the attaining of students’ academic or career goalsand assist them in developing their social and mental capacity. Thegoal is to enable students to become mature and wellfunctioningadults.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an allencompassing educational andcounseling plan with modern methods of teaching andmentoring
  • Foster equal opportunity practicesand encourage students’ association
  • Pay attention to cultural or societal differences indealing with the students
  • Conduct group orindividual counseling sessions to assist students with problems orconcerns
  • Assess students’ attributes(KSAOs) and help them realize their strengths
  • Evaluate the progress of students and reinforce the senseof accomplishment
  • Identify behavioral problemsor atrisk students and act appropriately
  • Cooperate with parents and teachers as well as otherinterested parties
  • Complete assessments andtests analyze results and provide feedback
  • Study and update student records
  • Prepare and present reviews on progress
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Guidance Counselor orTeacher;
  • Integrity andprofessionalism
  • Ability to operate within awide range of student personalities and backgrounds
  • Education in various models of teaching best counselingpractices and regulations
  • Excellentcommunication skills and high emotional intelligenceabilities
  • Basic knowledge ofcomputers
  • MA degree in school or guidancecounseling; guidance counseling credentials is a must;
