Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

To define, assign, measure, monitor, analyze and report (SMART) performance and developmental objectives for self and direct reports Completes Performance Touch Points and Year End reviews in line with company procedures Responsible for leading team to deliver clear techno-commercial order handover to post order engineering and customer operations Conduct and Participate in Customer review meetings (EPC, OEM etc), including project kick-off meeting Check and approve critical applications, high value bids and Frame agreement proposals Responsible for meeting and exceeding the business expectations in terms of Quality, cost and Delivery from the team & ensuring positive internal customer feedback Contract review and Order acknowledgement against purchase orders Ensure efficient support on techno-commercial queries or conflicts arising through Project Delivery office during execution phase, where necessary Responsible to attract, retain and develop talent to meet short medium- and long-term needs of the team Should actively contribute, coach, and motivate team members on performance and Continuous improvements Mentor new engineers and support them in their development. Support and work on departmental strategic initiatives and objectives I-Project –job management tool for seal system engineering as a global tool, Support for migration from I Project to any alternative Engineering project / job management software as directed by Engineering Solutions management. To cover for manager in his/her absence Additional support for Other Global Wet seal Projects teams on need basis Preparing and maintain the daily dashboard, weekly and monthly reports as required to achieve the desired results Co-ordinating with all the stakeholders and getting the right inputs as required to complete the task Communicating within the team and with stakeholders for any improvements or changes as desired Monitoring and Improving engineering process Resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction Ensure that the company policies and followed and values practiced To meet and exceed the business expectations in terms of quality, cost and delivery To effectively manage internal and external stakeholder demand and meet Market expectations To Lead and develop the team members and talent growth •Adhere to company policies and procedures. To actively contribute to Continuous improvements To Support VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering), NPD (New Product Development) & R&D initiatives The Individual

Skills & Experience:

A Bachler or master’s degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (Mechanical / Chemical) with 10 + years’ experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions. At least 2 years of Supervisor / team leader experience/Job Planning & Checking. Preferably 5 years' experience in Selection, sizing, Bidding of Engineered to order products such as Mechanical Seals, Seal Support Systems or similar Experience Domain knowledge in process equipment and seal systems in Polymer, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Aerospace, Refinery and Turbomachinery applications. Strong working knowledge of how the mechanical seal business and markets work, and how to create growth through engineering processes and products. Good understanding of engineering process needs in design and operations, key business drivers and industry practices Excellent communication skills to articulate strategies and drive a coordinated action plan Strong leadership presence with the ability to prioritize and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail and multitasking are essential. Affinity with mechanical seal, systems as essential technology in process industry An ability to work in an international environment with functional teams spread over various regions including corresponding willingness to travel Self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results with limited direct supervision. Excellent people skills and proven ability to lead a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, a proficiency in MS Office Good Ability to lead and develop people Good techno-commercial and contractual aptitude and orientation Good analytical skills and Quick learner Highly target driven Customer service and business oriented Solution oriented with Customer/Vendor Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to anticipate any potential issues and drive with contingency and mitigation plans Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication skills
