What you’ll do

The Finance Services Advisor provides advice and carries out accurate and timely processing of financial transactions within a shared services environment. The Finance Services Advisor performs tasks using finance systems, defined procedures and processes to deliver transactional processing for business units.Typically reports to the Senior Finance Services Team Leader.

Job Role

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Perform day-to-day operation of the AP payments process.
• Should be able to deliver tasks and projects assigned by the Team Leader.
• Ensure that payments have been properly processed with correct value and supported by valid documentation.
• Ensuring the progress of transactions through workflows and resolve issues with these.
• Follow all policies compliance and controls.
• Motivated to achieve KPIs consistently.

Key performance indicators:
• Payment processing on time for multiple geographies within different cut-off time
• All the due diligence to be completed as per agreed TAT.
• SLA and KPI performance
• Effective SOX controls.

Core competencies and knowledge

• High level of accuracy in processing transactions and reconciling payments.
• Understanding of payment gateways, clearing and settlement processes.
• Knowledge of various payment methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication to interact with internal team and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and general ledger reconciliation
• Proficient on MS office apps
• Soft spoken and a good Team player.

Preferable technical / professional qualifications:
• MBA Finance/CA (Inter)/M. Com/
• 0-1 year of work experience preferably in Shared Service Organization
• Experience of Account Payable or Payment process
• Exposer to SAP (S4 Hana)
• Proficiency in tools like Excel
