Principal Semiconductor Engineer, Design Verification

Aptiv’s custom silicon management group provides critical custom Silicon for all Aptiv products including Autonomous Driving, ADAS, Infotainment, Zonal Control, and others. This team translates the system requirements of Aptiv’s next-generation products into the SOC/IC requirements and architectural design, then manages the technical performance of external SOC/IC design partners who design the custom silicon SOCs/ICs for use in Aptiv’s products.
We are looking for a Principal SoC verification engineerand Bangalore team site lead to work closely with multiple Aptiv engineering teams who are focused on the development of Aptiv’s future generation of products.
This role is based in Aptiv’sBangalore, India office.
In This Role, You'll
Beresponsible as a team site lead to the rest of the Aptiv Custom Silicon team in Bangalore, India
Lead a team of 3-5 highly experienced semiconductor engineers.
Own and lead UVM-basedverification of complex flows at the subsystem and full chip level.
Work with the 3rd party IP vendors to make sure SoC use cases are fully covered in their test plan.
Interact with the design partner teams to define verification strategies and test plans.
Plan the verification of complex design IP/SoC interacting with the architecture and design engineers to identify verification test scenarios.
Develop verification environments;run and debug simulations to achieve quality.
Apply random-stimulus and coverage-based techniques to find bugs and meet the test plan goals.
Innovate to improve verification efficiency through methodologies or tools.
Coach and mentor others in your areas of expertise
Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
15+ years of experience in ARM CPU-basedfull-chipSoC verification.
5+ years of experience leading engineering organizations and projects
Experience and knowledge of 3rd party IP eco system.
Experience with Image Signal Processor verification, GPU verification
Experience with SoC subsystem and full chip verification for a complex silicon project from concept to launch.
Strong experience with UVM-basedSoC verification.
Strong experience with verifying Ethernet and PCIe IPs.
Strong experience with verifying memory sub-systems and NoC.
