Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI & Power Apps Manager to join Blend’s Global Business Excellence team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Power BI development and management, with a focus on creating and maintaining Business Performance Management dashboards and reports.  The ideal candidate will also have experience developing customize apps and workflow automations using Microsoft Power Platform. This role offers the unique opportunity to be part of a new team dedicated to owning Blend’s internal management dashboards and reports, and custom business apps serving senior management users across India, Americas, and EMEA regions.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of interactive operational and strategic management dashboards that provide actionable insights using Power BI.
  • Lead the development and implementation of customize applications and workflow automations using Microsoft Power Platform, Power App, Power Automate, Power BI, SQL Server.
  • Partner with senior leadership team members to understand the business use cases that support and fulfil business and data requirements, and translate them into effective visualization.
  • Manage and lead the end-to-end BI lifecycle, including user requirements gathering, data acquisition, data modelling, dashboard design, deployment, and on-going support.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the Power BI environment.
  • Implement development best practices ensuring reliability, easy and no/as little as possible manual maintenance.
  • Coach and manage junior BI developers on the team.
  • Manage the communication with business stakeholders and users to ensure solution meets business and user needs.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis or reports as requested by senior leadership.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data visualization and business intelligence.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of in-depth experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles.
  • Experience architecting and developing Power Apps and workflow automations using MS Power Platform, such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SQL Server database.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization development.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience working with enterprise business data, such as CRM (sales, pipeline, revenue forecasting), ERP/PSA (resource management & planning, financials), HRIS (talent, people).
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior leaders and business users in a global, cross-functional context.
  • Strong hands-on technical and leadership skills, and experience managing junior BI developers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Certifications in Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience working in a professional services organization preferred

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
