Responsibilities:


  • Drive and manage the end-to-end payroll process for India, including payroll calculation (inducing flexi benefits plan and NPS), validation, reconciliation, and administration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, local tax laws and statutory regulations.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities and vendors for preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports and tax filings.
  • Coordinate with the HRBPs, HR Operations, Finance, and external vendors to resolve any payroll issues or queries.
  • Review and improve the payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and security.
  • Educate employees about the process and policies via regular communication and resolve employee queries.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team and foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

  • Bachelor's in HR, accounting or finance, Master’s degree will be preferable
  • 10-15 years of experience in payroll, with 5+ years of people management experience, preferably in a start-up.
  • Strong knowledge of India payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Darwinbox and Allsec
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
