Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Intern Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of statistical models and a passion for working with geographic data. As a Geospatial Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to draw polygons on Google Maps, contributing to our spatial data collection and analysis efforts. 

Responsibilities: 

Polygon Drawing: Use Google Maps and other geospatial tools to create accurate polygons representing various geographic features, land parcels, or boundaries. 

Data Collection: Gather relevant spatial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. 

Quality Assurance: Review and validate existing spatial data, identifying any discrepancies or errors. 

Statistical Understanding: Apply basic statistical concepts to interpret and analyze geospatial data. 

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including GIS specialists, cartographers, and data scientists. 

Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of your work processes and findings. 

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in any stream and understanding on Geography, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science. 

Technical Skills: 

Proficiency in using Google Maps or similar mapping platforms. 

Basic understanding of statistical models (, regression, clustering). 

Familiarity with GIS software (, ArcGIS, QGIS) is a plus. 

Experience with spatial databases (, PostgreSQL/PostGIS) is desirable. 

Attention to Detail: Precise polygon drawing and accurate data collection are essential. 

Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret and analyze geospatial data. 

Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues across disciplines. 

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Additional Information

This is a full-time position based in our Vadodara office.

Vadodara or Gujarat local person is preferred.
